A spore print is a powdery deposit of spores left behind when a mature mushroom cap is placed gills or pores down on a surface for 2–24 hours. Used primarily for identification, cultivation, and art, this technique reveals the unique spore color, which helps distinguish between species.
 
I hand-illustrated and hand-cut the original design, drawing directly from real spore prints. The illustration was then translated into a laser-cut version.
